Painting a Day Project: #26

I've fallen in love again with Daniel Smith water colors. Those little tubes pack a lot of punch and are infinitely more fun to play with than the pans....(although a little messier and less convenient for portable painting.) Introducing #26: Italian Bowls

Painting a Day Project: #25

I felt inspired by a few things for this painting: a favorite photo of mine, my old stomping grounds, a new set of acrylics and a 4x4 400 series Strathmore pad of paper...and this poignant quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes:

"I find the greatest thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving--we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor."

Painting a Day Project: #24

Back at it today with a little inspiration from an old tea tin that has morphed into a well-loved container for brushes and pens. A little help from Photoshop with the vintage wallpaper and voila!

Painting a Day Project: #23

Playing with botanical patterns and a different watercolor set (Windsor & Newton)....I still prefer the Pelikan color palette...but playing and experimenting is good. Happy Sunday. xo
